Biography

Kaitlin Bryant is a Managing Paralegal and Student Loan Analyst with Seymour and Associates in Augusta. In this role, Kaitlin provides paralegal support to attorneys and meeting with clients in the preparation of bankruptcy petitions, motions, objections and other legal documents pertaining to consumer bankruptcy filing. Kaitlin offers bankruptcy and student loan clients the knowledge and understanding of procedures and forms needed to provide financial relief.

Kaitlin is no stranger to the legal industry, having spent over 11 years as a bankruptcy paralegal where she assisted various clients with support and advice to be successful in their cases. In addition to her experience in the field of consumer bankruptcy law, Kaitlin worked in Atlanta, Georgia for the law firm of McCurdy Candler. As a paralegal in Atlanta, Kaitlin became very familiar with the creditor side of bankruptcy. While at McCurdy Candler, Kaitlin worked closely with mortgage companies on such bankruptcy documents as Motions for Relief, Affidavit of Default and proof of Claims. Kaitlin’s unique experience in the area of creditor bankruptcy actions enables her to identify and explain complex mortgage issues to the clients of Seymour and Associates. Having years of experience in the legal industry, Kaitlin was able to promote the efficient use of technology for the firm.

In addition to her bankruptcy and computer skills, Kaitlin has helped establish Seymour and Associates as Augusta’s premier student loan law firm. In addition to being a student loan analyst at Seymour and Associates, Kaitlin furthered her knowledge of student loan law by attending a three-day student loan law class in Portland, Oregon in 2017.

With the rapid growth in technology, Kaitlin decided to continue her education in computers. Kaitlin, recently, completed an internship as a programmer analyst with Columbia County Board of Commissioners. After the internship, Kaitlin realized that having years of experience in the legal industry allowed her the ability to promote the efficient use of technology for the firm. Kaitlin now focuses mainly on identifying the firm’s programming needs. Kaitlin analyzes and reviews current software capabilities to increase efficiency and/or to adapt to changes in new federal procedures. One of Kaitlin’s current projects is developing a student loan database to house all of the firm’s student loan cases. Some of Kaitlin’s other projects included automating the firm’s local forms. This project provides paralegals and attorneys the ability to prepare case documents quickly and efficiently.

Kaitlin is a qualified Managing Paralegal is CM/ECF certified. Kaitlin attended King’s Institute of Bankruptcy for paralegal studies and is highly skilled in the area of bankruptcy rules and procedures. Also a skillful Programmer Analysis, Kaitlin holds an Associate’s Degree in Computer Programming from Augusta Technical College.

Kaitlin has been recognized for her accomplishments inside and outside of the office. Kaitlin received Intern of the Year from her team at Columbia County Board of Commissioners for her outstanding work ethics. Outside of work, Kaitlin volunteers for a youth cheer team, where she received the 2015 Coach of the Year from Greenbrier Pop Warner.
